The Veterans Freedom Mural Dedication

June 29, 2016

The Veterans Freedom Mural was officially dedicated on June 28.

Entitled Getting Back to the World, this multidisciplinary mural project explored a veteran’s process of transition when returning to civilian life. The design was derived from group dialogue and individual conversations throughout January, February and March of 2016 with veterans, the professionals who support their transition home, artists and community members from Wilmington.

Thank you to all the artists, community members and veterans that helped make this mural project such a meaningful experience!
